WHAT IS THE CBD OIL?
Cannabidiol (CBD) is an organic compound that comes from the leaves, stalks, and flowers of industrial hemp or cannabis plant. It is the most widely accepted non-psychoactive cannabinoid found in cannabis. CBD oil should not be confused with marijuana even though they both come from cannabis; we extract the CBD oil contained in HemptopiaCBD products from industrial hemp.

WHAT MAKES HEMP PLANTS DIFFERENT FROM MARIJUANA PLANTS?
Hemp and marijuana essentially come from the same plant family, cannabis sativa. The main difference between the two is their level of Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) - the illegal, psychotropic cannabinoid. According to the Agricultural Act of 2014, the Obama Administration describes legal hemp plants as containing less than 0.3% THC which also makes cannabinoids extracted from hemp, such as Cannabidiol (CBD), legal as well.
